CALL TO ORDER: 7:30 am

PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: approved as read

SECRETARY'S REPORT
District Governor John McKone visit planned for Wednesday, Sept 21, 6:30 pm. Dinner will be at Tabbs Creek Inn, along with DG Elect Ernie Warriner and board members. Members will pay for their own dinner ($20), club will pick up visitor's meals.

Bobbi will continue to provide activity report form to Rotary District.

Chris Henry has been approved and can come to first meeting tomorrow.

COMMUNICATIONS
None

TREASURER'S REPORT
Dues bills have gone out. Bill will see if checks have been cashed.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Yard Sale July 30, Wayne Hudgins, Chair. Members can bring items to Mike’s garage.

Planning two booths for Market Days--potato gun and seafood wraps. Need Chairs, 6-7 people/ hour, do we need a health dept food permit? Rodney will check.

Oct 29 Wine Tasting fund raiser, Dave Burns Chair. Need ABC permit, tents, parking, Porta potties, publicity, wine glasses.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Williams Wharf project: We have plans, need in-kind items. Rotary has raised more than half the cost of project. Club members need to continue asking for contributions. Need to start working on a plaque. Bobbi will check catalogues. Need to ask Rotary District for funds by end of calendar year.

Recognition of scholarship winners will take place at time of paying in Dec or Jan.

NEW BUSINESS
Funds in Mathews Community Foundation $10,000, 5% to give as scholarships. Board consensus is to leave it alone, continue to add to it and let it grow.
