SECRETARY'S REPORT District Governor John McKone will install new member Yvonne Rich at September 22 meeting.

Gazette Journal request for newspaper donations to school libraries will be passed on to Community Service Committee.

Bobbi will check on membership status of Stacy Hudgins and Brian Walters.

TREASURER'S REPORT
Market Days, $2,119.62 - $400 expenses

Bank balance, $10,952.55

Half of the dues have been collected at this point.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Becky McCoy would like 2-3 committee members. Will ask for volunteers at next meeting.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Wine Tasting will also be our fall social; Georg Kidd will announce at the next meeting.

Discussed membership policy at length. Ed Davis and Bobbi McElroy will decide who should receive letter for non-attendance, citing attendance rules from by-laws.

Howard Hudgins gets two attendance credits for working at Market Days.

Jay Black will research meaning of “honorary” membership.

Yard Sale chairman needed for September and October.

September 17 trash pick up rescheduled to November 19.

We owe Williams Wharf two $2000 checks. Construction beginning in October.

NEW BUSINESS
Becky McCoy will set up procedure to add line item to budget appropriating 10% from fund raising activities for the Mathews Rotary Disaster Relief Fund.

Did the Community Foundation scholarship fund receive its contribution last year?

Take Bike Virginia Tour de Chesapeake wine tasting idea to Fund Raising Committee.

Potato gun booth at Pumpkin Festival, Saturday, October 1, 10-6. Take to Fund Raising Committee and membership. Rodney will handle sign up sheet.
